Jane Hunt
("Becker")
Hunt was an important part of the Seneca Falls Convention. She invited the four women to her house for tea. Hunt also helped decide to call for the Convention at Seneca Falls ("Seneca"). Without the gathering at Hunt's house, the Seneca Falls Convention might not have happened (Wellman).
"By providing the support and sympathy that Elizabeth Cady Stanton needed to organize the Convention, they [Richard and Jane] insured that the movement would get off to a good start. As Susan B. Anthony once reminded Jane and Richard Hunt's son, 'You should be proud that this whole movement started at your mother's tea table' " ("The Hunts").
