Mary Ann McClintock
(Gutekunst)
McClintock was involved in the abolition and temperance movements. Stanton believed that McClintock was a valuable person in organizing the convention because of her past reform work. McClintock helped Stanton write the "Declaration of Sentiments and Resolutions." At the Convention, she served as the secretary and also gave several presentations, including reading a satirical poem entitled "The Times That Try Men's Souls" ("The McClintocks").
